A LITTLE OF HISTORY
- Fastening of the municipalities of Louresse and Rochemenier in 1809.
- The castle of Pont-de-Varennes dating the XVth century and which was a part of the area of Doué.
- The castle of Launay from the XVIIIth century which was burnt in the revolution and reconstructed in 1830.
- The chapel of Rochemenier which dates of the XVIIth century.
- The numerous wrens of the village testifying of the life of people of the village in the XVIIth and XVIIIth century.
TODAY
If the production of the municipality is mainly based on cereal and rose-tree, there are also exploitations of flowers, hemp and the breeding of cattle.
The visit of the village wren is the passage of numerous guests (60 000) in the region. This village is at the same time picturesque and the witness of our history.
